What to expect from an event at the Belk Theater

As mentioned, the Belk Theater has a horseshoe stage design, which creates a more intimate experience for the audience. Be prepared for an up-close experience, no matter what kind of performance you are there to watch. 

You’ll need to abide by the usual theater etiquette during the show. This usually includes silencing or switching off your phone to not distract the performers or upset fellow audience members. Video recordings and pictures are also not allowed to be taken during a show. 

Make sure that you remember to bring your tickets and have them ready to show to staff at the venue. You’ll also need a valid ID, especially if you are hoping to purchase alcohol during your trip. 

As this theater is an inside venue, you don’t have to worry about preparing for weather conditions. The climate-controlled theater should keep you comfortable when watching a show. That being said, it is always worth bringing a light jacket with you just in case the venue gets a bit chilly.
