Charlotte Symphony Orchestra at BELK Theater

The 1,970-seat Belk Theater of the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center is home to the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra – one of the most prestigious, largest, and most active performing arts organisations in the central Carolinas. In addition to hosting their own events, the symphony is also the regular orchestra for Opera Carolina and North Carolina Dance Theatre.

From 2009, the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra has been led by Music Director Christopher Warren-Green, with over 100 professional musicians employed by the organisation. The orchestral programme runs from September through May each season, with a variety of performance genres including Classical, Pops, unusual altsounds, and the family-orientated Lollipops.
