Shen Yun — the world’s top dance company — has confirmed 2026's calendar of performances across dozens of North America’s most prestigious venues, which includes the Belk Theatre at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center on Sunday 22nd February 2026!

Long before the era of Communism, FIVE MILLENNIA of culture, legends, and arts prospered in every region of the Chinese mainland, and year in and year out, the New York-founded Shen Yun breathes life into these enduring treasures for all to enjoy! 2026 is no exception.

Celestial gods walking across the land. Infinite grasslands swept by nomadic hordes of Mongols. And the wartime heroism of lionhearted soldiers. Shen Yun’s seasonal performances explore the countless legends and parables that spanned the nation's regimes, imaginatively portraying their tragedies and romances with aspects from Taoist and Buddhist creeds to complete each tale.

The upcoming presentation will exhibit twenty narrative segments of otherworldly performances in approximately two hours. Classically trained dancers dressed in charmingly vibrant garb will take to the floor, chronicling the event’s tales through 17 or 18 elaborate folk dance pieces. In addition, 2 to 3 instrumental and vocal solos will accentuate these chapters with invigorating melodies — both original and traditional.

An accompanying symphony orchestra will perform sweeping music throughout the show, innovatively combining Western and Chinese instrumentation. In terms of staging, Shen Yun utilizes a cutting-edge digital background to display immersive scenes, drawing guests into the world of ancient Chinese civilizations in a sensational fashion.

During the trip's stop in Charlotte, North Carolina, the world-class Belk Theatre at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center will be our host.
